Life is not as easy as social media makes it out to be 💻 We get stuck in a false ideation of what our lives should actually look like. Minimal work but somehow maximum reward. One thing that got me through this was having a goal for myself and a goal to support others. For me, my goal is to do things that make me feel good. Go for those walks, eat healthy kai, clean my whare, spend time with my people. For others, my goal is to make people feel seen and acknowledged. 💌☁️ If I make one person feel good today then I’m one step closer to becoming who I really want to be.
Mental health awareness week is more than just another week for us. It’s a reminder we are not alone. Your mental health matters just as much as the person next to you. Let’s start building our villages on kindness, love, inclusivity, joy and compassion!!!
My challenge this mental health awareness week is to be real about how I am, acknowledge how I am feeling and then do something that makes me feel at peace.
MHC - Mental Health Crews were created to celebrate the mahi that has gone into mental health awareness, challenge the harmful conversions and raise money for kauapapa that do amazing work ✔️☁️
This year we have decided to donate to The Mental Health Awareness Foundation of New Zealand. From September the 18th - 22nd (Monday to Friday) we will be participating in Five ways, Five Days. More info regarding Five ways, Five Days on @mhfnz 💌
